Privacy
CabinPilot uses information you choose to provide to offer navigation, vehicle tools, and account features. You can use the basic map without signing in.
Information you provide
If you create an account, we keep your name, email address, and account credentials. If you use ownership tools, we keep the vehicle details, maintenance, reminders, expenses, and records you add.
Location and navigation
CabinPilot requests your device location automatically when you open the map, subject to your browser's location permission. It uses that position to show you on the map, calculate routes, follow your drive, and update guidance. You can stop tracking or revoke location permission in your browser. Signed-in features can save destinations, trip history, and an active trip so you can view its progress on your other devices. The basic anonymous map does not sync trips across devices.
Connected vehicle accounts
If you choose to connect a supported vehicle account such as Tesla, CabinPilot may access the vehicle information you authorize, including status, charging, mileage, and location where available. Connecting is optional. You can disconnect the integration in CabinPilot or revoke access through your vehicle provider.
Search and map services
Destination searches and route requests are sent to mapping and routing services to return places and directions. Map providers receive requests for the area you view. Voice guidance may use your browser or device speech service.
Community reports
If you submit a road report, CabinPilot keeps its category, location, time, and driver confirmations so other drivers can see it. These temporary reports expire or may be removed sooner when drivers say they are no longer present.
Cookies and preferences
CabinPilot uses cookies to keep your account and map session working. Your browser may also remember display and navigation preferences. We do not use these features to show advertising.
Website analytics
If enabled, Google Analytics measures visits to CabinPilot's informational pages. CabinPilot sends page paths without search parameters and does not intentionally send navigation, account, vehicle, or precise GPS information to Google Analytics. Google may process browser and device information under its own privacy terms. The map and signed-in app pages are excluded from CabinPilot's Google Analytics page-view tracking.
Retention and your choices
We keep account information while your account is active. Trip, search, and community-report information is kept only as needed for the features you use, and some records expire automatically. You can clear recent drives from the map, disconnect a vehicle account, delete your current map session, or delete your CabinPilot account from the Account & Data page. Revoking browser permission stops future GPS access.
Protection and questions
We use safeguards intended to protect account and connected-vehicle information. For questions or a data request, use the Account & Data page or contact the operator through the channel where you received access to CabinPilot.
